When I tried to place an order online, I received an error message: "Your transaction could not be completed at this time." So we ordered a different item elsewhere. We were surprised when it showed up and jumped through all their hoops to return it and asked for credit. Patricia Melendez (customer service) refused and said "sorry" the item was not returnable, though it doesn't say so anywhere on the item description or at any time in the ordering of the item. She said, "Personally, when I purchase anything online I verify the warranty and return policy of the item. Since we don't have many customers that want to return a lamp, I assume other people do the same." To lecture a customer who has spent thousands of dollars with your company is insulting and unprofessional. This lack of customer care and service is shameful.

I sent my out of warranty projector back for repair, then the problems began.
I had to contact them constantly for updates, they would not respond to emails, and were very unhelpful. It took one week for the unit to be tested and a quote prepared, yet it took three weeks for them to send it to me (they will not repair the unit without this being accepted and returned to them), and a further week to repair and send it back despite quoting three day's maximum.

They also advised me I needed a new lamp, yet I had only used 400 hours and the lamp had a life of approximately 4000 hours (less than 10% usage). They quickly removed this from the quote after I questioned it.

I would avoid this company if at all possible

I had some problem with my Optoma HD66... I was so satisfied... But a lot of white and black dot appear on the screen. So, I wrote to Optoma service with the problem description. They send me a RMA form, so I fill it and I send it back with the proof of purchase. They was suppose to send me back the RMA number with the shipping instruction... But nothing... No news... My warranty end date is janurary 11 2012 so it's rush. I hope they don't take all of that time to be sure the warranty period is over.

Terrible customer support
makes me pay for sending it in for repairs
broke right after warranty expired.
buying a new projector from a better company.
