I called Customer Service to inform them that the microwave oven we purchased 2 months ago is not working right. The button for potatoes malfunctions, it is not sensing moisture and not adjusting the cooking time. As result potatoes are burned, smoke coming out of the oven. Customer Service lady tells me not to use Auto button and cook potatoes manually instead. She microwave is "working as designed", just not how I wanted it to work. She also said it is not worth it to send service for just one button and that if I insist on service, and service man reports that oven is "working as designed" then I would have to pay for the service myself in the amount of $150. Is this how KitchenAid stand behind their products? If I wanted to manually cook my potatoes then I would have bought a $50 microwave oven instead of spending $500. It is unfair for me to pay for service repair when oven is under factory warranty. Customer Service don't care.

I contacted Kitchenaid regarding their TV offer on friday, 10/28 for 6 payments of $59.99. Saturday, I noticed they had ran my debit card 3 times in the amount of $85.19.
I called the 800 number, they could not help, they referred me to the customer service number that was open 24 hours a day 7 days a week. No answer. I called three times on Monday and finally spoke to a supervisor of customer service, who promptly told me I would have to wait for 7 to 10 days for 2 of the pending transactions to fall off - that I would not be charged 3 times, but there was nothing they could or would do about it I would just have to wait.

I could not cancel my order, I would have to wiat until I received the mixer and then pay for the return in order to cancel.

All in all, I have to wait until my pending funds are released, due to their error. I will have to pay to return the mixer - due to their error and I didn't get a I'm sorry one time.

I waited over 30 minutes to reach KitchenAid and was transferred to a service expert who claimed he could not hear me. I suspect he did this because he did not want to answer my phone call. He said he could not hear me and that I should call back. He did not give a phone number as though he wanted me to waste another 30 minutes.

I am having a lightbulb replaced in my Kitchenaid microwave right now. It took the technician 2 hours to get to the lightbulb with my help. He is out now trying to find a bulb.
This a major error in engineering design I am wondering how long it will take to put it back together? I know the tech will need my help. I am an 85 yo woman who really doesn't have the stamina to do this. But what can I do?
I highly recommend that the design be changed immediately. This should be a very simple procedure and will cost me about $300 to change a lightbulb. For God sake please think people.
I will never purchase another Kitchenaid appliance or recommend one to my family and friends. Shame on you.

OMG I filed complaint on this page under SM. Superior called me and the jest was I will get my refund eventually. I told her not to call an upset customer back unless they have a resolution. OH yes there is nobody there above supervisor/manager level. Give me a break!!!!! Still waiting to see if I get my refund before I die of old age. Hope they will make this right.

My complaint is with kitchenaid.com. For mother's day they offered a 20% discount so I ordered attachments for kitchenaid mixer. My receipt showed the discount when I checked out. I received an email confirming the cost which did subtract the discount so amount was correct. But when they charged my account they charged full amount. I called as soon as they were open and sent email to stop order since they over charged me. They claimed too late and we're to send me return papers. When I received papers they were in someone else's name. So I refused both from post man. Then they claimed not to receive it back until almost two weeks later. Also will not refund me for around three weeks. It has been two weeks and no refund. I filed com plant still no satisfaction. Reported on CEO Jeff Falling website and all he did was remove it without taking care of it. Customer service only said if I didn't like amount charged send back. Not willing to make it right even with my email from them as proof.

These people are imbeciles!!! We purchased two expensive appliances from KitchenAid. When being quoted for extended warranty for 4 years, for each appliance it is $360; for both appiances it is $900. What math genius worked that out?? Their service rep's job is "just to give me the info". The promised induction pans that come with my range take 6-8 weeks to arrive. I don't need the range if the pots take that long!!!!!!! Apparently, that order is being processed. Nothing today takes 6 - 8 weeks to process. But, nobody to talk to. Nobody who is not an imbecilic bimbo!!!

Having mis-sold a wrong part for £5 and charged £5.82+VAT for a 3cm flat part to be sent by royal mail. They are now totally unwilling to help identify my £700 appliance model number, in order to buy the correct £5 part, thereby rendering the appliance unusable. Extremely rude and just pass you from one 'spares' department to another 'spares' department in the hope that you will give up.

Our complaint is regarding service for a KitchenAid Ice Machine. Originally, service company missed first visit to diagnose, but did come and diagnose about 1 week later. Said part needed to be ordered, and would return in 7-10 days. We have now had 5 scheduled, and missed (meaning no show, no call) appointments to fix the problem. When calling KitchenAid, and telling them they need to get rid of this vendor, and give us someone who will show up and fix the problem, they continue to force this particular vendor on us. So, now, over 2 months after are first contact regarding this issue, we still have a broken icemaker. Terrible, disgusting excuse for customer service.

2 Years Ago, I Bought A Kitchenaid Oven: The Worst I Had!
Since The First Test It Had Problems. Thereafter It Had 11 Assistance Calls, !! I Asked For A New One, Because It Is A Shame! But I Solved Nothing. Tit Doesn't Work Properly And I Cannot Cook My Cakes Or Biscuits As I Should. It Is Not The Product I Thought To Be.
I Feel Disgusted And Irritated By A Company Who Sells Its Expensive Products With A Very Bad Quality.
I Feel Deceived.

Do not buy Kitchen-aid. Once you have own their product, they do not stand behind it. We have a lemon of a refrigerator that has not worked since day 1. We've been trying to get it repaired for 9 months and it still does not function as a refrigerator. Buy any other brand, but never Kitchen-aid.

Do Not Even Think Of Buying Kitchenaid/whirlpool Products.

The Machines Do A Poor Job Of Washing The Dishes And Kitchenaid/whirlpool Will Leave You Holding The Bag And It Is Not Full Of Gold.

100 Dishwashers Model Kdt304dpa0 Were Installed In A 19 Story New Building In North Vancouver B.c. By The Developer.

The Installation Instructions Were Wrong In The Kitchenaid/whirlpool Installation Manual In Regards To Door Drop And Door Drop Tensioner Limits That The Installer Was Supplied With.

1.the Dishwashers Were Installed And The Door Drop Was Not Set For The Additional Wieght Added To The Door. Kitchenaid Manual States The Door Tensioner Will Handle 16 Lbs Of Which Is Not True. Maybe 12 Lbs As We Tested The System With The Kitchenaid Service Rep And Found The System At 15 Lbs Did Not Work.

2.even The Cheapest Dishwasher At Costco Has 4 Front Mounting Screws To Stop The Dishwasher Kicking In At The Bottom. When The Door Drops It Kicks The Dishwasher In The Racks Roll Out Breaking The Stops And You Guessed It The Dishes Are All Over The Floor.

3.the Dishwasher 2 Screws Are Ripped Out Of The Counter Damaging The Counter And The Door Hits The Floor Where Your Foot Is. 3 People Were Injured And Kitchenaid Did Nothing To Rectify The Problem. BOUGHT 6 KITCHENAID APPLIANCES AND HAD THEM INSTALLED LAST THURSDAY. REGRET IT ALREADY. Can't reach a person to help. Called Whirlpool, got transferred 4 times, then disconnected. Called Kitchenaid - no menu options applicable, runaround. 3 of my appliances are 'panel ready', yet I got no information about size or how to install panels. Received no User guides or warrantee cards for the Trash compactor or Warming drawer. No serial number on the warming drawer at all! Can't fill out warrantees for 2 of the 6 and can't fill out rebate card - have no serial nbrs for 2

We purchased a set of 4 Kitchenaid appliances for our new home. Overall, I am pretty much satisfied with the refrigerator and dishwasher.
The microwave is okay.
The dual fuel range bakes and roasts very well. My complaint is the aqualift self cleaning system!!!!!????? Clean...really!!! It does not clean, so after the so-called "cleaning" is over I have to use a magic eraser to actually clean and remove the grease spots. I have actually avoided roasting because of this, and will never attempt to broil anything. The oven will look terrible and probably smell forever!!!!!!

Official company reply

Dear Anonymous,We are sorry to hear of you dissatisfaction with your Aqualift Cleaning Cycle. The steam created while using this cycle is meant to help release backed on foods, but some elbow grease may still be required. For especially stubborn areas, you want to saturate the area with a Dawn Dish Soap and water solution and let it sit for up to 30 minutes. This may help get the grease adhered to the cooking surface. Please reach out to us if you have any additional questions or concerns by sending your name, address, model/serial number, the name of the site you were contacted on (customerservicescoreboard)and phone number to [email protected]

I took a service plan and they are so tactical that they offer a combo plan and i accepted it but did overcharge my credit card. i waited for 10 days for any email or email; nothing yet. so i checked my card, it was overcharged. when called back to enquire about it, they rotated my call between corporate, service departments and customer service for an hour; pathetic service i had ever seen. they do not want to hear about anything, if they can't answer they just hung up the phone

Horrible, horrible, horrible! I will never purchase a KitchenAid appliance ever again. After 5 months, my new dishwasher was not draining. We did everything that was suggested to ensure there was no debris clogging the lines. Everything was clear. I contacted KitchenAid to request service since it was still under warranty.I was given an appointment in a week. Apparently, the person who took the request filled out the form incorrectly (according to the repair shop). I contacted KitchenAid again to argue my case that this was unacceptable and the customer service agent was rude and to no help. I had to demand to speak with the supervisor and was put on hold for 30 minutes. We all know that was on purpose! The supervisor was no help and stated that I had no other recourse then to go with the repair company (who had horrible reviews). I had to wait another week for the technician to come to the house. He had no idea what he was doing! I had to show the technician how to start the machine! The technician claimed it was the latch and will take another week for the part to come in. I contacted KitchenAid again and they stated there was nothing they can do. So now I'm on week 3 with a dishwasher that does not drain! If it truly was a latch issue then the machine would not start at all yet it works. It simply does not drain! So if anyone out there is researching about KitchenAid appliances, do yourself a favor and don't buy one!

I have bought five year service contracts for my appliances from Kitchenaid in October 2015
In February 2016 I have had issues with my dishwasher and have been trying to get an appointment for service.
I have attempted calling 35-40 times till now and have been on hold for hours and it does not take me anywhere. Called all the possible number I could find for help but no results.
This has been a very frustrating experience for me,
It is very bad to see such a reputed company with such a low grade/bad performance.
At the time of buying the contract I was promised so many things but when it came to use it nobody even bothers to take my calls.

Spoke with Sandra in Tennessee about slow cooker we purchased in January.....does not heat properly. She was more than good she was polite, understanding and solved our problem...sending a new one out and gave me all the info for returning the one we have. I hope you will commend her for a job well done.

I bought a used Kitchenaid Classic stand mixer at an estate sale. It needed new protective pads and a flat beater. I spoke to a customer service rep named Melissa because I couldn't locate information on replacement parts for this older appliance. She asked questions to verify the exact model. There was no model number on the mixer, so she sent me one footpad to see if it was the right one. (It wasn't the same, but it seems to fit fine.) She also sent out the beater. She was very helpful with questions and provided useful information for my future needs. I am very impressed with her knowledge about the product and her helpfulness. I still need to call back to get the other four pads, but at least the first delivery was prompt.

I am so pleased!! I bought an attachment for my KA mixer--the grater. When I went to use it I could not get the shaft to fit through the casing. Mystified, I called customer service and explained. Immediately, the Rep offered to send out a new part free of charge. How wonderful when a company backs up its products! Turns out, there was a burr on the shaft, small, but big enough to stop full insertion. Thanks so much Kitchen Aid! I love your stuff.

I Have a Professional series Stand Up mixer. It stopped working and all I had to do was call KitchedAid and they had the new one being shipped the same day. As soon as I received the new one (in a couple of days) I just put the old one in the same box and they paid to have to shipped back. New one is working great, and will definitely purchase Kitchenaid again!

I just called Kitchen Aid repair center and was told to call Goodman's in Hialeah Florida . For my surprise the technical person was super knowledgeable and got me to test the food processor to figure out what could be wrong and very honestly told me that in my case we can charge me to temporary repair it but the same issue will probably happen again so It will be better for me to spend the money in a new food processor. This is very rare in Miami to find a company with goodwill.

I would have to call this a "love letter" to your company. A KitchenAid dishwasher had been installed in my home almost 44 years ago. And it worked perfectly from that day until the day it died, about a week ago. No problems; no complaints;no leaks; no blown fuses; nothing but clean dishes and pots and pans!! Needless to say, I just purchased another KitchenAid appliance and hope it works as well as the last one. Thank you for making a dishwasher that works and truly washes dishes.

I had to return a mixer. It was easy and kitchenaid sent an a new one and paid postage both ways. totally hassle free.

I bought a KitchenAid Artisan Stand Mixer 3.5 Months ago, and the locking mechanism isn't working properly. I just called KitchenAid and they were incredibly professional and helpful. There was no wait on the phone to speak with a representative, and then she told me they would collect the mixer from my home on whichever day would be convenient for me, then fix it and deliver it back to me at no cost. The representative was very polite and efficient. I am based in the UK so I can only speak for the UK branch of the company, but I am very impressed!

I had a blender that started to leak after almost 1 year of purchase. Did not have my receipt since it was a gift. I called their customer service/warranty line and they were extremely helpful. After taking the information about the serial number and model number, the representative got permission from his supervisor to send me a replacement blender despite not having a receipt. I've never experienced this before! Great job KitchenAid. I will be purchasing from you again!
