I have been a customer of Harman Kardon for 24 years now. Their quality has gone in the toilet in the last 15 years. I have owned and HK6250 Integrated AMP, an AVR 20 MKII and a AVR 300. I currently own, a TL8500 CD Player Working, Two ARV 254 Receivers, both of which the HDMI switching boards do not work, and an AVR 1710 "BCO Update.... Please Wait"

I have contacted HK several times over the years and I have never gotten any help. Their customer service is horrible. I spoke to them on Friday night. I was in contact with the US customer service and when they found out I was in Canada, the directed me to Erickson Consumer Products. I have emailed and called in the past with Erickson and they don't even respond. I am done buying their products, they only seem to have a 3-4 year life span now.

Like someone in the previous review mentioned and I had the same problem (too bad I dd not read his review). I bought this product and after 7 month the left headphone stopped working. It took number of chats and calls to get the product replaced and I was assured that the new product would be sent. I finally received the product and it was new. It was refurbished and imagine this the left headphone was not working

But no worries it took another 10 chats and phone calls to get it replaced (during the entire process I had been told that I would get a call from the supervisor to escalate the issue. Nobody ever called). So I had to pay again for shipment back. Again I was told I would get a brand new product from them. I got the refurbished product 3 days ago and needless to say that for the third time the left headphone is not working

I am not planning to deal with them again. I am calling AMEX and submitting refund request based on the service not delivered per terms and conditions.

Would strongly advise anyone to stay away from this company. I have bought 5 products and until lately when they outsourced their call center I have never had any issues. Now, if you ever have any problems i guarantee you will have to deal with incompetent people outside of USA who have no idea how resolve these issues.

Also they do not allow the negative reviews on their web site which is a violation as well

I've been trying to get in touch with somebody the number y'all have for customer service do not work anymore I've sent back a product and I still have not received a replacement it's been six months already

I just bought a new DVD blueray 4k and I want to hook up in my AVR350 but I have already input my old blueray to the DVD input, can I add my new blueray 4k as DVD-2 input but how will I do it. need help thanks.

To begin with the site doesn't work. I get an error message "Sorry we can't process this order right now. Please try again in a few minutes." I thought it was something wrong with my card so I called my bank and clarified that there was not. I then called customer services and tried to place the order over the phone. After 10min of them trying to enter my order I got disconnected. No one called me back. Since I really need this producet I swallowed hard and called them back. I asked them what happened. The retarded person on the other line confirmed that we got disconnected. And that was that.

I am right now on my 3rd attempt on trying to place an order over the phone .. I'll keep you posted,

Harman Kardon does not stand behind it's products. The SB 30 is a defective soundbar, they obsoleted it, and waited for warranty issues to fall beyond the scope of 2 years. The customer service represented is in the Phillipeans and is based on avoidance. I have HK nits from the sixties which work, they are not the same Company, I would urge everyone to not purchase these products. This is the worst product support experienced!

Worst experience ever. Son ordered speaker. Received a set of earbuds with correct shipping label but incorrect product and packing slip. after repeated requests to correct the shipping error, were told it was in hands of UPS claim, but we did not receive a UPS claim number to track the progress. They are dishonest as far as I am concerned because they took our money and refuse to give a refund. We repeatedly requested a return label to no avail. They stonewall and make excuses and you are throwing you money away if you do business with them directly.

Filipino customer service the worst. I will never buy another HK product again.
I'd return what I purchased but it's too difficult to reach someone that speaks English.

Moving "customer service" to India may have saving HK some money but it sure lost this customer. I give up on you and your products, there are plenty of other manufacturers that care about their customers experience.

Worst service ever. Waiting over a month for Onyx speaker replacement that died 6 months after purchasing it. Every time I call they tell me either that they are waiting for new units in their warehouse or that I will be reimbursed with a similar unit in 3 business days. Still waiting............. Also took me almost a week to get them to understand my mailing address- apparently, New York, New York is not understood in India
Customer service reps are polite enough- act helpful- but nothing they tell you ever gets done- a total blow off

HGK's customer service has been about the poorest I've ever encountered. I requested info on where to by a power adapter for HK Soundsticks and someone named Vishakha Kalbhor from the HK parts department sent back an email telling me I need a power cord, which wasn't at all what I needed. I sent him three photos of my unit including a close up identifying the specific model, and still, I got back an email saying I needed a $3.50 power cord. I then found a photo of the exact part I needed and sent that to him requesting info on the part number and cost to order. His response to this request was to tell me to go a "repair shop" and ask them for it.

From this experience it seems obvious to me that Harmon Kardon couldn't care less about it's customers. Apparently once you buy a product from HK, you're on your own.

totally useless to contact them. Messy situation.
I've been in touch with 4 guy during 2 months. I wanted to buy new adapters for ear in headphone. Ticket lost, useless info about warranty....
it's frustrating.

Customer service is non existant. After ordering something online, I called them to cancel the order and they I was told I will get confirmation but never got one. After constant followup they replied back via email that order will be cancelled, instead I received speakers. When I checked my credit card I was charged 3 times. When I called them to send me info on returning the speakers again I did not receive anything. When I wanted to talk to their manager they put you on long hold and then disconnect your phone. This they have done numerous times. At a times they take your order number and put you on hold forever.

I am not sure How company like Harmam Kardon can survive in today's age without any customer service. What customers do when there is no one to talk to.

The absolute worst service I have ever hah. Its been over a month and the piece of junk onyx studio Bluetooth speaker still hasn't been resolved . it died after only two months. And they keep hanging up on me and giving me a run around. Don't expect them to honor their warranty.

Called the 800 number for technical support. I hit #2 for home audio. Then #5 for technical support, the line stays quiet for a few seconds then beeps and hangs up on you.

I did get through one time by going through a different option. Only for the phone to be answered by an Indian woman, whom of course didn't speak english very well. Everything took her forever, then i tried to tell her about the system hanging up on me she tells me to call the 800# for tech service. The same number i have been calling.
Amazing that a supposedly high end product cant afford to have quality tech support.

5 stars for me in customer service my speaker will not hold a charge either i brought this in july and call harmon kardon in october for a replacement and Arnel Rocamora was so helpful he gave me no problems at all sent me my UPS return label and will be sending me out new speaker.
