sorry I didn't read the return policy before placing an order. I ordered a shirt in a small and it was WAY too big. I will never use Columbia on line again. Most stores who charge their prices don't even charge shipping if you order a certain amount. For their prices, they should give you free shipping and free returns. the item wasn't even packaged well. It was a shirt folded in a plastic bag, so it was very wrinkled.

I have bought and loved Columbia pants for hiking. However the Silver
Ridge pull on pant was waaaay too short & not the length advertised. Sending back.

Well, here I am again. Placed the order with overnight shipping; unfortunately, A Thursday overnight shipping means sometime on Tuesday. That's the day I'm leaving. How does the above translate to OVERNIGHT shipping. All I know is that this has been a major disappointment (as I've said). I paid overnight shipping on the first order and then if I return I'll be paying to and fro for shipment. NEVER AGAIN! Find a store to deal with. Or another company.

Well here I go: I'm ordering the same thing over in a different size. At a loss to me, they need to make exceptions....or hey, just do what companies who care about repeat business do. I will never shop at overstock or wayfair. I really thought there were stores around that would accept Columbia returns. ANYWAY, good luck to you newbies, be careful!

I'm very disappointed with this return policy. I purchased 3 items that weighed approx. 1/4 of a pound. I paid $173.00 (with one day shipping). I need to return all three items and after doing this they say I will receive a refund of $137.00. So $30.00 in return fee! I could send them back for less but we must follow the policy. Unfortunately, I'm just exchanging all for a different size(one size down). I will not order from Columbia again after this experience.

They charge for the return shipping so if you bough a pair of gloves and if they did not fit. Well guess what your are out of $6.00 dollars.

I bought a hoodie that was on sale for $44.00; then a few days later I saw the exact, same item on sale for $35.00. I called to see if they'd adjust the price and was quickly and curtly told they don't adjust prices. I was going to purchase the item again, at the lower price, but when I saw they would charge me $6.00 for return shipping, it wasn't worth it. Lesson learned but I won't get burned by Columbia a second time. Very unhappy.

Want to unsubscribe. Bought boots 2014 two seasons only on boots . Left boot is leaking. Not a very good guarantee.

I bought this for my daughterr for Christmas. Beautiful coat but not quite her style. If the coat was my size I would have considered keeping it!

Tried to return a pair of gloves. Got the return label and tried to print Columbia was the size of 8.5" page and no way to reduce it Columbia was no help. I join those who would never shop at Columbia again.

If you want to keep your store open you should do something about your return policy. Your web page is confusing and you should pay for the return. I was left feeling that you do not value your customer base.

Guess I Should Have Read Reviews Prior To Ordering. Sounds Like Everything Columbia Makes Runs Too Small. I'm Stuck With A Pair Of Hiking Shoes I Looked At Forever. Finally Broke Down And Ordered Them. I Have Bought Shoes From All Other Companies And Always Fit Size 9 M Always.
But, Columbia Makes Them Smaller. No More Columbia Products.

KNOW THE RETURN POLICY BEFORE BUYING!!! I am extremely surprised at the return policy of Columbia! Now that I know that I have to pay to return an item that was clearly not as described online, I will not be ordering from them again. Don't try to be an "exclusive" store, if you don't plan to treat your customers well! Even Wal-Mart gives better customer service, and their things are reasonably priced!

I ordered your full legnth lightweight coat with down. I really liked it but I failed to notice the sides. It had some type of elastic sides which is why I'm returning it. I wanted a coat that would keep my whole body warm including the sides. I don't feel this particular coat would do that. So, I'm sending it back. Other than the sides I liked the coat. Thanks.BFQ

This is without question the most convoluted return process I have encountered. I have purchased items from Patagonia, Lands End, L.L. Bean and others, and have never been required to contact the company for a return address. What about including a return label with the purchased items simply for the convenience of the customer? Now that's a novel thought!

The first customer service representative I was connected with said, "Hello," I then responded in kind and she then hung the phone up. Professionalism and courtesy at the Columbia Sportswear return department is obviously is not a pre-requisite for employment.

This will be my very last purchase from Columbia Sportswear!

I am returning a Mighty Lite Hooded Jacket that I had purchased as I gift. I have since learned the gift recipient had bought herself a similar jacket, and will have no need for this one. My concern is that other than the label that I will put on the outside of the package, I could find no other informational order inside the package. I hope that this will not cause a problem.

I'm highly disappointed with my online order experience with Columbia Sportswear Company. They sent me the wrong product that was approximately $30.00 dollars cheaper than what I actually purchased and then had the nerve to ask me to put the one I originally ordered on my credit card so they could send me the right one. They said since it was on a gift card they would send me gift cards back after I put it on my regular bank card. In order to even get the gift cards I had spent over $400.00 dollars in one of there stores. I have spent well over a thousand dollars in the last couple of months in a local Columbia Store. If this is how they treat customers I will never do business with them again.

Seriously bummed to see all the bad returns comments. I bought 4 pairs of pants and 2 don't fit. Hopefully my return ticket won't cost me much because from what I have read so far, exchanges are a huge headache. Wont buy from Columbia again.

Never ordering from Columbia again. I do not understand why I have to pay for a return. That is completely ridiculous. Or I have the option of driving to the nearest Columbia store.... which is 2.5 hours away.... this is a flipping joke. Also, you cannot do a simple exchange. Wish I knew all of this before I ordered them. Thanks Columbia for nothing!!!

Love the boots, the stitching almost held up. Too the tread wearing out. Lasted a year and a half. With ruff use six days a week.

I have nothing but great things to say about Columbia's warranty program. I had a pair of snow boots over 10 years old that I loved. They both started to fall apart around the same time, coming apart at the seams. I was devastated, and contacted Columbia about a warranty. After sending them back to the company, they sent me a beautiful pair of killer boots that were even nicer and more comfortable than before. I was truly impressed and will always buy from Columbia!!!

I purchased two different travel pants from two different online stores, on right here in Oregon. I experienced lengthy delays, poor customer service, and unacceptable products. I returned both pair of pants.

Finally I contacted Columbia (which I should have done first) went to the employee store, not realizing that it was an employees only store, was let in by a kind lady and helped by an exceptional diminutive lady originally from Chile (I'm sorry that I forgot her name, but it begins with "A"). I purchased one pair of cargo pants, and the nice lady assisted me in ordering a second pair online from the store. This was around noon yesterday, and the ordered pants arrived at my door this morning just after 9:00. Outstanding. I am really pleased with the quality, the price, and most of all, the customer assistance.

I also phoned your customer services twice yesterday since I could not access my account. I had unsubscribed to email some time ago and could not remember my password. The customer service reps were available immediately and solved my problem. I have now re-subscribed to email offers and will check Columbia Sportswear first for future purchases.
