They charge for the return shipping so if you bough a pair of gloves and if they did not fit. Well guess what your are out of $6.00 dollars.

I bought a hoodie that was on sale for $44.00; then a few days later I saw the exact, same item on sale for $35.00. I called to see if they'd adjust the price and was quickly and curtly told they don't adjust prices. I was going to purchase the item again, at the lower price, but when I saw they would charge me $6.00 for return shipping, it wasn't worth it. Lesson learned but I won't get burned by Columbia a second time. Very unhappy.
I bought this for my daughterr for Christmas. Beautiful coat but not quite her style. If the coat was my size I would have considered keeping it!
Guess I Should Have Read Reviews Prior To Ordering. Sounds Like Everything Columbia Makes Runs Too Small. I'm Stuck With A Pair Of Hiking Shoes I Looked At Forever. Finally Broke Down And Ordered Them. I Have Bought Shoes From All Other Companies And Always Fit Size 9 M Always.
But, Columbia Makes Them Smaller. No More Columbia Products.
KNOW THE RETURN POLICY BEFORE BUYING!!! I am extremely surprised at the return policy of Columbia! Now that I know that I have to pay to return an item that was clearly not as described online, I will not be ordering from them again. Don't try to be an "exclusive" store, if you don't plan to treat your customers well! Even Wal-Mart gives better customer service, and their things are reasonably priced!
I ordered your full legnth lightweight coat with down. I really liked it but I failed to notice the sides. It had some type of elastic sides which is why I'm returning it. I wanted a coat that would keep my whole body warm including the sides. I don't feel this particular coat would do that. So, I'm sending it back. Other than the sides I liked the coat. Thanks.BFQ
This is without question the most convoluted return process I have encountered. I have purchased items from Patagonia, Lands End, L.L. Bean and others, and have never been required to contact the company for a return address. What about including a return label with the purchased items simply for the convenience of the customer? Now that's a novel thought!
The first customer service representative I was connected with said, "Hello," I then responded in kind and she then hung the phone up. Professionalism and courtesy at the Columbia Sportswear return department is obviously is not a pre-requisite for employment.
This will be my very last purchase from Columbia Sportswear!
I am returning a Mighty Lite Hooded Jacket that I had purchased as I gift. I have since learned the gift recipient had bought herself a similar jacket, and will have no need for this one. My concern is that other than the label that I will put on the outside of the package, I could find no other informational order inside the package. I hope that this will not cause a problem.
I'm highly disappointed with my online order experience with Columbia Sportswear Company. They sent me the wrong product that was approximately $30.00 dollars cheaper than what I actually purchased and then had the nerve to ask me to put the one I originally ordered on my credit card so they could send me the right one. They said since it was on a gift card they would send me gift cards back after I put it on my regular bank card. In order to even get the gift cards I had spent over $400.00 dollars in one of there stores. I have spent well over a thousand dollars in the last couple of months in a local Columbia Store. If this is how they treat customers I will never do business with them again.
Never ordering from Columbia again. I do not understand why I have to pay for a return. That is completely ridiculous. Or I have the option of driving to the nearest Columbia store.... which is 2.5 hours away.... this is a flipping joke. Also, you cannot do a simple exchange. Wish I knew all of this before I ordered them. Thanks Columbia for nothing!!!
I ordered four shirts for a vacation to the NC coast early on Wednesday afternoon, May 24th, 2017.The conditions for the order were that the order be picked and shipped on Thursday May, 25th; in order for arrival on Friday, May 26th, so that I could take them on the vacation on Saturday, May 27th.
In order for the package to arrive in time, I paid an extra $19 for overnight shipping. The order was in fact picked on Thursday the 25th. According to UPS, the ticket for the order was processed at 2:25 pm PST. Then, UPS was contacted to pick up the order at 6:25 pm on Thursday the 25th.
The problem was that the last pick-up time for UPS overnight shipments from Oregon is 2 pm PST! I received emails from both Columbia Sportswear and from UPS on Thursday evening that my shipment was on the way. Then, I received another email at 6:06 am on Friday the 26th that I would not receive my package. After a garbage response from the "Customer Care Team" and Daphne F.
about why my package would not arrive, and a refusal to refund my $19 overnight shipping, saying my package would arrive on Monday, May 29th, (when UPS is off for the holiday) or Tuesday, May 30th, I had to call UPS to get the facts about the shipment. There was obviously collusion to hide the fact the the shipment DID NOT SHIP ON Thursday on the part of Columbia Sportswear. I called another "Customer Care" specialist named Kristin, who did offer to refund my $19 overnight shipping fee. However, the greater problem for Columbia is that the ordering staff and customer care (oxymoron) staff promise the moon and do not care to tell the truth or deliver on their promises.
It's a crappy way to do business. I called Jerry Woodberry three times and left a message once, but did not get a return call. I had to call and talk with someone in Warranty to get a live person who would listen. This is not a life crisis for me, or for anyone else.
However, be forewarned that the Customer Care and Internal Operations people are not on the same page and shallow promises are being made which will lead to your frustration and outright lies on their part. As of now, I will be returning the shipment for a full refund due to the lack of fulfilling the promise to process and ship overnight, and the nebulous, vague answers received from one the "Customer Care" teams and representatives.
Columbia Sportswear, you may have attractive, quality items for sale, but you "write checks" that your operations people cannot cash.Disappointed in North Carolina
Review about: 4 Columbia Sportswear Shirts.
I didn't like: Order not shipped as promised, Rude customer service talking over customer, Disguised real problem that order was not shipped as promised.
I wont' be buying for them anymore. First, I had to pay for shipping to send the item back to them. Second, they applied a RESTOCKING FEE!!! I never worn this item. Third, it took them 3 weeks to issue a refund.
DO NOT PURCHASED FROM THEM. THERE ARE A LOT OF DIFFERENT PLACES ON LINE YOU CAN PURCHASE FROM WITHOUT ALL THESE PERKS.
Will NEVER buy from Columbia again!! Like others, I found they are totally unreasonable when it comes to returns. Purchased 2 coats, 1 online and 1 in an outlet store as Christmas gifts for people living in another state. Neither fit properly and had to be returned by them. Credit card used on both and both payments had cleared. They will not give money back and want credit card to refund, which they obviously don't have since it was a gift. They only want to give them store credit and there is nothing there they want. I have never heard of such a policy. If you send it back you have to pay shipping, which is absurd. Any reputable company pays for return shipping and doesn't make it impossible to return items in store. From reading reviews they've lost many customers, and it will continue until they make some changes.
I have nothing but great things to say about Columbia's warranty program. I had a pair of snow boots over 10 years old that I loved. They both started to fall apart around the same time, coming apart at the seams. I was devastated, and contacted Columbia about a warranty. After sending them back to the company, they sent me a beautiful pair of killer boots that were even nicer and more comfortable than before. I was truly impressed and will always buy from Columbia!!!
I purchased two different travel pants from two different online stores, on right here in Oregon. I experienced lengthy delays, poor customer service, and unacceptable products. I returned both pair of pants.
Finally I contacted Columbia (which I should have done first) went to the employee store, not realizing that it was an employees only store, was let in by a kind lady and helped by an exceptional diminutive lady originally from Chile (I'm sorry that I forgot her name, but it begins with "A"). I purchased one pair of cargo pants, and the nice lady assisted me in ordering a second pair online from the store. This was around noon yesterday, and the ordered pants arrived at my door this morning just after 9:00. Outstanding. I am really pleased with the quality, the price, and most of all, the customer assistance.
I also phoned your customer services twice yesterday since I could not access my account. I had unsubscribed to email some time ago and could not remember my password. The customer service reps were available immediately and solved my problem. I have now re-subscribed to email offers and will check Columbia Sportswear first for future purchases.
We are proud to recognize the companies providing the best customer service each year within their industry.
