Could not reach someone. Stayed on hold for 30 minutes finally hung up and entered a call back number and they called me back

Yes, cannot locate anyone at number listed for corporate office located in Chicago. Tried to get refund for travel. Made several calls only to get disconnected and then received an email informing me in order to get refund, needed my credit card information again. again, and explained email and need for reimbursement. Transferred to several individuals and again was informed that credit card information needed to reimburse. I informed customer care personnel I was not comfortable with giving information and that there should already be a record of card used. Was told that executive manager would get involved and would need credit card number to process refund. I smell scam. I would never recommend this website for any bookings.

Worst service ever! If I do not receive an e-mail with a phone number that will reach a real person without waiting more than 2 minutes, I will cancel my reservations (I have trip insurance) and tell everyone I know to NEVER EVER use CheapTickets of Trip Network, Inc. I assume that you read these comments often so I expect to receive an e-mail within 24 hours.

I have sent a letter to cheap tickets detailing my experience and the letter was undeliverable to their corporate office in Chicago. I have tried to call the phone number listed on their website and its not available. I am now trying to get a lawyer to sue them so I can get the charges dismissed against my credit card for airline tickets billed thru Jet Blue for a trip I did not take after cancelling it. This has been going on since August 26, 2016

I have tried to get in touch with Cheap Tickets corporate office with no success. My 1st letter went to Honolulu, sent it priority mail. It was returned. I sent another priority to Chicago, it has not been returned, but no response from the so called corporate office. I have attached all my paper work with a complete explanation. I want them to make good on the fact they did not cancel the airline tickets at the same time they canceled our trip to Puerto Rico. Now Jet Blue is charging us for a trip we never took. $1146.00. Can't get a hold of anyone that speaks clear English. they give me the run around. They cannot find my itinerary or the cancellation. How convenient. Capital One my credit card company has tried to help me, but Jet Blue insists we were a no show. Someone has to stop this madness. These people cannot continue running a business in this manner. Stealing our money. No one being held accountable.

On August 26th, 2016 - I scheduled a last minute vacation with Cheap Tickets to Puerto Rico.Within less than two hours my husband checked the weather in Puerto Rico and there was a hurricane going on. I immediately cancelled the trip by phone.The $1722.57 has since been refunded to my account, but now I see Jet Blue is coming back to my account and billing me for the two tickets. Jet Blue representative stated Cheap Tickets never cancelled the airline tickets. Now I have a charge on my account for a trip I never took for a total of $1145.60. Now I am unable to get in touch with cheap tickets corporate office to correct this human error.

Used this service to book a flight to Mississippi. When I was due to come back I requested a change for my September 24th flight. Got to the airport to discover that the rep had booked me for October 24th instead. Had to buy a new ticket . I called back and the rep said there were no flights available although 3 different airlines were flying out from the airport and all had seats available. Never again.

This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. There is no customer service number available with a live person even tho they advertise a half a dozen of them. Thanks them I am stuck sleeping in my car in a strange city with 2 small children. Never again will I ever use this sorry excuse of a business again

Cheap tickets is ridiculous.
I called the 800 number and having a hard time speaking to these people.
Obliviously they are not American, they are from the Philippines and it is very hard to understand "Henry"
This quite frankly is disgusting! I called for a simple question and transferred 4 times. 32 minutes later.
I suggest never using them!

After being placed on hold for 2 hours, my flight that they changed was never issued by the airline. The representative hung up on me. After numerous attempts to call and talk to a supervisor, with no luck, I gave up for today. I will be calling corporate to file a complaint and seek legal help. They took my money and was never issued a flight or a refund. That is fraud and illegal. I advise others ton do the same.

I am so angry with cheap tickets, I usually don't pre pay for a hotel but like a sap I did. I realized after making the reservation that it was the wrong location and also not the room I originally requested. Called them back to explain what happen and not only will they not transfer to the room I requested they are trying to make me pay additional money!!!! I am not happy and will never use them again.

Don't ever book with them
Same company as cheaptickets.com and the same bs
They will ring you through call centers around the world and not give you any reaults and put you on hold for six hours even if it was their mistake
They do not care about their customers so dont use them.
They are the worst kind of business that shohld be closed down

I am very disappointed with the service I received when I booked my ticket and also when I called and spoke to your agent Lynn on 3/5-16.
This is a poor service with untrained staff to resolve my issues.
I will never book through Cheapticket again and regret have some soLoisy customer service and poor management skills.

cheaptickets: bought a ticket in Nov.; the airline changed the flight in Dec.; because the "return flight was only one minute difference" i was not notified (oh but the first part of the trip was changed from a 6:30 am flight to a 6:30 pm flight which they overlooked). Then, they notified me two days before the flight to "remind" me: then said they could not change it: but after 3 hours with United Air, they found a flight that worked. But here is the best part: cheaptickets changed the flight back to the original flight and the one seat on the other flight was sold. So i had to cancel my trip ... and of course the ticket was nonrefundable ... Now you can do what you like but I would not buy a ticket from them every again ..

Our Horrible Experience with Cheaptickets

We have been a customer of this company for years, preferring their service over others. NEVER AGAIN!!!

I purchased some tickets for my husband to visit his brother during his graduation from basic training at least a month in advance. The day before he was supposed to leave he wanted to get his trip extended by one day. So I called customer service, mind you this is an international call since we are overseas. The agent, I don't remember his name warned me that there would be some additional charges with a change fee and price difference in tickets which would cost $463. I said ok, and verified the same time and date he was scheduled to leave, as well as the car rental and the date and time he was supposed to come back. One more time I verified it, going so far as to write down this information, which he verified was correct. So I dropped my husband off the next morning to make it in time for his flight.

2 HOURS later he has finally made it through the beginning of the line to check his bags in and receive his boarding passes. "Sorry Sir, but your ticket has been cancelled," he is told by the check in agent. "No that can't be, I have the ticket right here. Check my name." The agent told him yes, your name is here, but it says that Korean Air cancelled your ticket because the agents at Cheaptickets did not send in the right documents by the 1 o'clock deadline.

David calls me very upset, which made me upset because he is about to miss his plane. I told him I would call customer service and get this fixed. Cheaptickets customer service rep. tries to talk to Korean Air (I assume) because I was on hold for awhile. When the agent came back on the phone with me he said Korean Air is not working with him and he has to pass this up to the escalation department. Please hold. Almost 1 ½ HOURS later, I call this agency from ANOTHER phone to see what is going on because NO ONE HAS SPOKEN WITH ME IN THAT TIME I HAVE BEEN ON HOLD! The next agent (Mayla agent #6153) tells me that, "I can't help you after I explain what is going on, I need to pass this to the escalation department. Since another agent is already trying to do this, I will just let him continue trying on your behalf. This shouldn't take more than 20 mins." She verifies that I have given her the right number, and since I am talking to her on my mother's phone I hang up the other. Promptly (so this tells me the msg is automated) I receive an email from customer service saying "We were trying to pass your number up to the escalation department, but we were disconnected. We tried to reach you but couldn't get through. Please call back at blah blah blah." After I verified my information with her I hang up on her as well ready to wait for 20 minutes hopefully with a resolution for this problem.

25 minutes later still no call, so I make yet another international phone call to Cheaptickets. This time I get ahold of Mayra (hmmm) no agent number, just name, who gives me the same spiel that she can't help me, I need to pass this upto the escalation department. PLEASE HOLD. AGAIN. This was not as long, maybe 10-20 minutes I get Lizzie on who is supposedly the supervisor. YET AGAIN I explain the situation to her. You guessed it. I am put ON HOLD again while she checks out what the problem is. She sees when he was supposed to fly, when there was a change made for his return flight, etc. Please HOLD. Nearly an hour later she says there is a flight for the same time tomorrow Jan. 21st, and I can book you for that flight. I ask her since we paid for the 20-24 forking over the additional change fees etc. and my husband missing his flight because their company did not turn in the documents requested to the airlines, if they could offer an upgrade in seating for him to and fro, or a discount, complimentary car package etc. No. We cannot upgrade your seats, or offer you a discount, or offer complimentary package. I can however offer you a $100 voucher to use on your next trip. 

Nearly 4 ½ hours from the time I first called to this offer, I had to pass this conversation over to my husband because I had to pick up my child. I told him to make sure he verifies dates, car rental etc. because they messed that up since he was supposed to pick up the car on the 20th when he landed. When I had told Lizzie this earlier she said they would fix that too. After he was on hold for nearly an hour what with going back and forth between Lizzie and HER supervisor. Supposedly.


So this is how the trip went:


Supposed to leave on January 20th and pick up a rental that day. Get to airport, find out ticket was cancelled by airline and Cheaptickets was at fault. Changed flight to the 21st, but still charged for the 20th plus the car rental on the 20th, plus the additional fee for changing the return flight.

Get to destination and guess what? Get charged $198 penalty by car rental because car was not picked up on the 20th which Cheaptickets said they would fix, but did not. And to add insult to injury we have a $150 travel voucher for a trip we will likely NEVER BOOK with this company unless they do something like credit back everything they charged us for this horrible experience. Oh wait, forgot I have an international phone bill that is nearly 5 hours long I still have to pay for too!!!

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY

My booking was placed and confirmed a month ago but I got an email about the problem of my booking this week and I called for the first time. The agent initially told me the flight was cancelled and offer to change the flight. I personally called the airline and was told the flight is still operating. Then I called for the second time and was notified that my booking was not secured and still need to wait for the response from the airline company. In the following calls, I was finally told my booking was cancelled by the airline for no reason. Every agent told me I would expect a call back in several hours, but the fact is that I have not received a single call so far. One of the agent offered to let me speak to his supervisor but I was put on hold for more than 30 min and still no one took care of me. I made my latest call to cancel the flight, but again, I was asked to wait for a call in 6 hours and no calls, no emails, nothing. It is a terrible decision to make the booking at cheaptickets.

Flying to&from San Juan for a cruise and the cruise/travel agent just informed me I have to be on board by 8:30, even though it doesn't leave til 10,but the flight arrives at 8. So would likely miss my cruise, because of this lack of info. So just learned that ANY changes made on my flight reservations, whether I change the dates, times, us one part of the tic and not the other, or wait to use on a later date, will cost me $275. Don't travel/fly often, so when I do I bargain shop my tics. I've 90% of the time use 3rd parties like cheap tickets and never had such charges and poor customer service. And the customer service isn't bad as far as the people on the line its the multiple on holds, the inability to understand their English(call answered in some other country),and lie you wait time I 2minutes. Was on hold for almost an hour. Will never use this site again. And the worst part is I purchased these tics for me and a friend, so now I have to tell them the flight I picked for us are useable. Its pay the cancel/change fee $275(airline fee $200/cheap tickets fee$75) plus any fare differences on top of the $301 that was paid for the round trip tics. And that adds up to . So pay this or give this company and the airlines

Will not do business with this company again. I called customer service to inquire about bereavement discount on fare as nothing posted dealt with question. I needed flight out next morning. All they did was wave $25 fee for booking with operator. I could have booked online for same price. I was too upset to spend a lot of time online checking out fares. Customer service sucked!

My experienced with your company today was the worse I ever had with any airline before, I booked my flight back in June (4 tickets) and purchased insurance for all of them, What I wanted to do was to try to change my returning date to the 1st of august instead of the 5th, due to my kids can't miss their first date of college that is the August 5th,(my daughter), and all I got from you guys what's ma'am that is something to do with frontier airlines, got transferred to them, frontier airlines told me that since I purchased the flight insurance thru you guys I have to deal with, I called back to cheaptickets, rude, careless customer service answered and with noticed transfers me to orbits, so now, all you can tell me is sorry but can't help you because is not a medical issue, that unacceptable and all you showed me is that you can careless for your customer, I have to do is not a want is a need, that's why purchased the insurance., I will be able to attempt my sister's wedding, you ruin my vacation/sister wedding weekend. NOw all I want is my money back

An update to my post earlier today.. I emailed customer relations through the email provided below. I got a response which completely ignored the reason why I needed to change my tickets. I did reply back but no response till now.

I called customer service and was pleasantly surprised when I got a call back in the stipulated time..After speaking to two agents who again could not provide any answers I was again put on hold.. Unsure why but after 10 minutes I seemed to be transferred to BA customer service. Extremely disappointing considering that we are regular customers. We just bought 10 tickets earlier this year including the one that I was making the call.

I needed to contact cheaptickets to change a reservation. I went online and requested an online chat. Message box indicated a 5.35 min wait.. I waited for the allotted time but alas after the said time I was informed no agent could be found and to try again. I resorted to calling them. Again, I was informed that I needed to wait 6 minutes. I dutifully did so and held for 22 minutes before the line got disconnected. I have never had any reason to contact them but this first instance has me a little concerend..

Today, I booked a bundle deal (flight, car, and hotel) for September 25th from DET to ATL. I was pretty excited because the total cost came out to about $300 a person for a weekend! This is the first time I've booked Spirit Airlines. Well, shortly after paying for this trip, I received an alert from my bank flagging a possible fraudulent transaction. It seemed that Cheaptickets.com took out their charge BUT Spirit Airlines charged twice for the airplane tickets. Easy fix.... or so I thought! After being on the phone with 2 "customer service" representatives who stated that there was no record that Spirit Airlines charged me twice -- I called my bank. My bank and I both saw that there was indeed a double charge and advised the manner in which Spirit Airlines could release the second charge -- so back to speaking to "Andrew" the Spirit Airlines Customer Service Supervisor who also insisted that I was "mistaken" and was what I was saying was "not true". First, suggesting that there may have been an error in my browser during the purchase; to which I responded that Cheaptickets.com only had one charge showing -- so we could rule out the fact that I paid twice. His response was that he was not able to communicate to my bank regarding the second charge, his reason, "there is no manner which we can do this". Andrew was not willing to try and call my bank. At the end, he put the blame squarely on Cheaptickets.com and my bank and proceeded to hastily usher me off the phone -- "if there is nothing else I can help you with Ms. * I'm sorry we only charged you once". Dilemma? Oh, no siree because I work too hard to earn $528.54 for Spirit Airlines to claim they didn't charge me twice. On the phone with Cheaptickets.com to let them know what a POOR choice they make in partnering with the Dog and Pony show better known as Spirit Airlines. The Cheaptickets.com customer service representative phoned Spirit Airlines and was able to get some information (worth the 25 minute hold time) and then proceeded to call my bank while I was on the line. After sharing the information, my bank was able to proceed with a fraudulent claim charge and immediately reimburse the $528.54 that Spirit Airlines OVERCHARGED me! Point of my tirade -- it took the customer service representative from Cheaptickets.com to resolve Spirit Airlines' mistake. They have ZERO interest in preserving good relationships or encouraging return business! I called their corporate office and left a message for Heather Harvey, their listed Customer Service Manager -- if their phone customer service is any indication of what to expect, I'm not holding my breath Ms.. Harvey! Furthermore, I called my investment banker to check if by chance I had any stock in this debauchery of a company! My worse fate is that I STILL have to get on this flight!
Spirit Airlines -- you have lost my business, my family's business, my co-workers' business and now, business from ANYONE that will hear me!

Cheaptickets.com -- I am your customer for life! Please consider how partnering with Spirit Airlines has the potential to harm you!

Excellent! The absolute best service I have received in a very long time from any company. I contacted your company via phone on 3 occasions. I did not have to wait, I got a very friendly and extremely helpful agent, and most of all they each left a great impression of your organization. The gentleman I spoke with today 4/17 was able to convince a hotel manager to cancel my reservation after 2 failed attempts yesterday- he deserves to be commended! I am very pleased with the outcome and will definitely be using you again for our next travel arrangements!

While in transit we from Puerto Rico back to the states my father spoke to the gate agent and was informed that my connecting flight from Atlanta to San Antonio (flight #147) was cancelled. I was unaware of this as no one had contacted me explaining the cancellation prior to this point. As I was boarding the plane, I contacted my father to communicate with Airtran the dispute of the cancelled flight and to see if we could be transferred to another flight that evening. The agents said that you were notified back in April but never I received communication. This was a costly notice costing me 2 days of work and 2 days stranded in Atlanta Georgia with my 2 kids 6 and 11. therefore a $300 hotel plus food for 3 people for 2 extra days and average of $600 added to my vacation not scheduled. I was told that I should place my refundable request directly to CheapTickets.com, therefore advice on how to proceed.

I was very pleased with the Customer Service. The gal I talked to got me the flights I wanted (after the carrier had changed their schedule) and somehow even got me upgraded on the domestic portions of the journey. I hope I get this same kind of service for my next trip, which is presenting problems with seating (the airlines won't recognize my right to "preferred seating.)
For my frequent travels, I always look to Cheaptickets first.

I want everyone to know what a terrific!!!! job Deb did for me today. I was cancelled out of my flight I'd made a month ago, by Frontier Airlines. She spent almost 2 and a half hours with me trying different easy to get through to them until she got me a new flight, no extra cost. I would have been going around in circles if I had had to do it myself. She remained cheerful, professional, understanding, and checked back with me every 4 minutes or so, whenever I was on hold and she was also. Then she waited until I could download the final reservation. More businesses need employees like her.

I have spoken to Cheaptickets customer service hotline representative Gary @ number +1-312-596-5786 on Monday Aug 22 for 2 hours 30 minutes for a 4 segment flight 9/4/2011 & 4/4/2012 & 4/15/2012 & 6/7/2012, as I was unable online to complete the checkout.

While I do not mind the time on the phone it is an inefficient use of the Cheaptickets agents hourly wages.

He was EXTREMELY helpful in looking up the prices, and dealing with my inquiry however he received an error code of RDRXCO. (purchase in invalid state).


I am awaiting a callback from KAYAK/Cheapickets/Orbitz to correct the problem by honoring to sell me the above stated ticket for the dates and times for the flights.

He had tried to sell me flights segments that became over 7 hours time between flight rather than the 3.5 hours gaps the agent and me both found and also 2 stop scenarios with increased fare prices.

I called yesterday and it was about a 3 minute wait and I was connected to an offshore representative. He was helpful and patient with me. I got what I needed. I'm giving it 4/5 stars, that's relative to other corporate helpdesks.

After reading all these negative comments, i was worried. However when i called to cancel a cancellation that had gone wrong - i wanted the ticket after all and called within 30 minutes to try and reinstate the tickets. I thought they were going to charge me the $175 cancellation fee, but they didnt! I dont know if this was due to their own genorosity or becasue they actually called the airline and they said it was fine. Either way i got good service today, however i was on hold for a long time before i got to talk to anybody.

My flight home from Cancun got cancelled due to Mexicana Airlines going bankrupt 5 days before departure. I called the number I received through an E-Mail from CheapTickets, and waited on hold for 15 minutes before getting somebody. They immediately transferred my call. I waited another 5 minutes before I spoke with another agent. However, the lady was very kind and was able to book me on another flight for no additional cost. The call took about an hour, but it saved my vacation.

Cheap Tickets did a wonderful job! My husband and I got a surprise ticket to Vegas from our boss but it didnt quite fit our schedule. Cheap tickets worked really hard to change everything to fit our needs with almost no cost to us! Thanks Eve!

I purchased a flight ticket and scheduled the wrong dates. I called within 24 hrs to cancel, they were friendly and prompt. I got a full refund. Will definitely use their service again.

I made reservations through cheaptickets last night and found a lower fare, called them to cancel since it was within 24 hours and it was cancelled at no charge. They were prompt and I will use them again.

The only problem is that CheapTickets doesn't have their Customer Service's full info on their website. It took some time to find their phone number. Other than that, the service was fast and kind, and my issue was solved within the minutes.

Erika in customer service was great, she actually called my credit card company with my permission to have a number of charges reversed that had been charged in error. I as able to listen to both agents work out the issues and resolve them. Companies are not perfect, but when we treat people with respect and understanding we get the same in return. It was a lot of extra time spent; and when things are handled well, I am grateful. Thanks Erika and Gregory!!!

I just made three reservations with Cheap Tickets from Fort Myers through Continental and both ladies were extremely HELPFUL, EFFICIENT AND COULDN'T HAVE BEEN MORE CUSTOMER SERVICE FRIENDLY! I had questions on line and they walked me through all three bookings I had to do. Superb and a relief. I also booked a recent flight to Michigan - same great service and efficiency.

It would be very nice to have this number listed on the actual website versus having to google it.

I understand that it can be very frustrating and expensive to change flight time/dates because of conflicting schedules. At Cheaptickets we try our best to accommodate your request and try to the best schedule and inexpensive ticket. Unfortunately the fees from the airline are mandated by the airline that issued the ticket and the fare difference is between the new ticket and old ticket that you purchased. You mention that no information was advised that fees would apply when you make a change the fare rules are available before you can confirm the reservation. That is the reason why you are asked if you agree to the conditions. In cancelling reservations for flight you also mention that nothing is mentioned that the airline will hold the value of the ticket for future travel. Again this is in the fare rules of your ticket. I would suggest that you read through the fare rules at least "Penalties" part. You can't always blame Cheaptickets for what happened to your flight schedule. Airlines will change flight schedules if needed whether you agree or not depending on their business need. We do not again do not change flight schedules as we do not have the authority to do so only the airline does. If they do we try our best to find you a schedule that will work for you within the parameters set by the airline. As in every service industry we can not please everyone sad to say more people complain than people who are thankful for the help rendered.
